Mostly 3–9 -foliate up to 160mm long, leaflets linear to ovate 25 - 80mm long, dark green and shiny. Juvenile leaves 20–80 mm long and with 8–17 small bluntly toothed leaflets.
Flower
Tubular to 20mm long, cream with purple markings inside. Copious in number.

Details
The bottom of older vines can be up to 40 mm in diameter and very strong. Vines will grow up trees and over shrubs often killing the shrub due to its weight breaking the shrub branches and trunk
