Vigorous climber with woody vine and twining branches
Up to 8 metres
Mostly 3–9 -foliate up to 160mm long, leaflets linear to ovate 25 - 80mm long, dark green and shiny. Juvenile leaves 20–80 mm long and with 8–17 small bluntly toothed leaflets.
Tubular to 20mm long, cream with purple markings inside. Copious in number.
September to December
Large green pod to 80 mm long.
Can be propagated from seed and cuttings
The bottom of older vines can be up to 40 mm in diameter and very strong. Vines will grow up trees and over shrubs often killing the shrub due to its weight breaking the shrub branches and trunk
