Perennial herb erect and shrubby. Multi-stemmed from the base.

Leaf
Dark green leaves are stalkless and linear. Narrow up to 5 mm and up to 150mm long. Edges are slightly curved downwards (recurved) and sometimes sparsely toothed. Distinc centre vein. Underside dull blue-green with white bloom. Upper leaves smaller.
Flower
Numerous heads of daisy like flowers grouped at different levels. 4-8 per group. 8 or less (commonly 5) petals. Up to 25 mm diameter. Colour bright yellow.
